"Motivational Interviewing "

On May 10, 2008, Ann Fields, will present "Motivational Interviewing" from 9-4:30 (registration at 8:30) in conference rooms 20-23, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, 9205 SW Barnes Rd, Portland.  This conference is approved for 6 CE hours.  (Call NASW at 503-452-8420 with questions.)

This workshop will provide participants with a foundation and framework for facilitating motivational interviewing and effecting change with their clients. Participants will learn the 8 conceptual models of motivation, the 6 key elements of effective feedb ack and a common language that defines where clients are in the change process and effective strategies and interventions for each stage.
