This workshop covers defining critical terms such as race, ethnicity and culture as well as cultural communication patterns. Defining cultural communication patterns, such as interpreters, style, personal space, eye contact and role of the family are also discussed. There's an informative video which shows different traditions celebrated throughout Latin America followed by a facilitated discussion of clinical needs and concerns. Communication role plays and strategies for effective communication complete this conference. |
