Continuing Education Committee
Meets mostly via email to review request for NASW approval for continuing education events for social workers in Oregon. |

Diversity Committee
A newly formed committee to recruit and support social workers of diverse backgrounds including race, culture, ethnicity, disability, sexual or gender identity. Seeks to develop and advocate for cultural compentency in social work; and to build collaborations and partnerships with other organizations committed to diversity concerns |

Aging & Disability Council
A newly formed committee to address education and membership issues related to aging and disabilities. |

Ethic & Professional Review Committee
Reviews membership ethical concerns/dilemmas and provides education about ethical concerns. Works closely with Professional Review Process formerly known as Committee on Inquiry; respons to complaints about members. |

Events & Conference Planning Committee
Responsible for planning the NASW Oregon annual conference in addition to other NASW Oregon sponsored workshops. |

Finance Committee
Responsible for the fiduciary needs of NASW Oregon, including the chapter's annual budget and investments. |

Legislative Committee
Works with the chapter's lobbyist in reviewing bills in legislature, what to support, what to defeat. Proactive in advocating for social work/social services concerns. |

Maternal/Child Health Council
Meets to network and share policies and procedures related to maternal/child issues and provide CE opportunities. |

Membership Committee
Responsible for increasing membership, reaching out to lapsed members, works closely with second vice president of the board. |

Nominations Committee
Responsible for locating members willing to run for positions on the Board of Directors for Oregon Chapter, and for the National NASW Board. |

Private Practice Council
Working on issues of concern to members in private practice, developed the Private Practice Handbook. |

Public Relations & Marketing
A newly formed committee responsible for developing news releases, public service announcements, TV and radio ads about social workers, social services, and education opportunities. |

School Social Work Council
A newly reactivated committee to focus on the needs and concerns of social workers who practice in schools, elementary through high school, in Oregon. |
| |
Social Work Political Action Committee (SWPAC)
SWPAC endorses and makes financial contributions to state-level candidates who support social work issues, helps to elect social workers to political office, and aims to mobilize the NASW Oregon membership to vote and let them know who our endorsed candidates are. |
