NASW Oregon Chapter Finance Committee 2000-2001 CHARGE
Authorization and Accountability
The Finance Committee is a standing committee mandated by the bylaws of the National Association of Social Workers. The committee is accountable to the Board of Directors.
Standard 2.B.6 “Chapters shall have an active finance committee headed by the chapter treasurer that meets annually to review chapter fiscal policies and to develop the chapter budget.”
Purpose The purpose of the Finance Committee is to:
Members, Terms and CriteriaThe Finance committee shall meet four (4) times per year. The Chapter Treasurer serves as the Chairperson. The committee consists of members at large who volunteer to serve for a period of one year. The Board of Directors has mandated that each member must be a member in good standing of NASW. The Finance Committee may request board approval for a non-member of NASW to serve as a “non-paid, non-voting” consultant to the Finance Committee. Scope of ResponsibilityThe Finance Committee shall be responsible for the following:
