Summer CE Book Club
Beginning in June, the book club will meet in the evening on the first Wednesday of each month in Portland to discuss books on such topics as diversity, mental health, addiction, ethics, and wellness. Group members will earn 8 CEU's (per book) for the reading and discussion time.
June's Book:
Transition and Beyond: Observations on Gender Identity by Reid Vanderburgh, MA, LMFT.
Portland resident Reid Vanderburgh discusses the subject of transitioning from one gender to another. The book covers models of gender identity, development of a healthy sense of self, sexuality versus gender, stages of transition, resocialization, physical transition challenges, workplace issues, boundaries, addiction, religious issues, relational issues, and community and
peer support.
Please email Stacey@nasworegon.org if you are interested in participating in the first meeting on June 4th. Please note that space is limited to 12 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
If you live outside of the Portland area and are interested in participating in a book club via teleconference discussions, please let us know as we explore this as an option.
